BIOGRAPHIESWe need everybody.
Mark Hesselschwerdt
My life really began when I moved to Aspen as soon after college as I could. (Not to diminish my parents or their major input). The Draft was over, I had my degree and I could do whatever I wanted. The small community of eclectic black sheep and the ski / mountain lifestyle had won my heart. My Aspen life is the envy of 90% of the Boomer men I meet. I have a fabulous life full of great friends, exciting adventures, and good health in a small town. The thirty-eight years since college has included multiple paths, careers, and many “greatest hits”. Among these include designing, building, and owning the famous Rock’n Horse Bar in the Jerome Hotel in the 70’s, Town Downhill Champion (77), Born Again Christian (78) Married, Divorced (79-83), Ten years in Los Angeles designing and building homes (83-93) and trying to “grow up”, rowing the Grand Canyon twice (86. 01), designing and building homes including my own home in Aspen (93 to present)and staying in shape and skiing a.m.a.p. But now its time to give back, “Big Time”, and I couldn’t be more excited and passionate about making the Boomers’ Project a reality and helping to restore the world for a better, greener future.
